Changelog

9 October 2026

  • Quotes, on every plan. Send a client a quote with line items, an optional deposit and a valid-until date. They get a private link and a PDF, and can accept or decline it online. You get an email when they reply. Turn a quote into a bill in one click, and if it has a deposit, your customer can pay it straight after accepting.
  • Bills can have line items, so you can list each part of a job instead of one total. Recurring bills (Pro). Set a bill to repeat weekly, every 2 weeks, monthly, every 3 months or yearly, with a start date and an optional end date or number of bills. SendBill sends each one for you, and you can pause, resume or stop it from the bill page. Import your clients from a spreadsheet. Upload a CSV, match up the columns, check the preview and see any duplicates or problems before anything is saved. There's a template to start from, and you can export your client list too. Clients now have company and address fields.
  • Add SendBill to your home screen. You can install SendBill on your phone or computer like an app. Each shop installs with its own name and opens straight to its dashboard. Fixed logo uploads from phone cameras. Big photos are now shrunk before upload, you get a clear message if a file is too large, and a new logo shows up straight away. One email at signup. New accounts get a single welcome email with a link to confirm your email address, instead of two separate emails. You'll need to confirm your address before using your shop.
  • Clearer pricing. The pricing now says plainly that SendBill takes no cut of your card payments. You pay your monthly plan, and Stripe's standard UK card fee applies (from 1.5% + 20p per payment).
  • Updated our terms and privacy policy to cover free trials, quotes, recurring bills and how we count visits to our website.

7 October 2026

  • 7-day free trial on Solo and Team plans. If you add Pro when you sign up, it's included in the trial too.
  • Deposits and staged payments. Ask for a deposit up front and the balance later. Your customer pays each part from the same pay link, and the bill shows as part paid in between. Pay by QR code. Open a QR code for any bill so a customer can scan it and pay by card in person. You can download or print it.
  • Clearer wording on the signup page about the trial and when you'll be charged.

6 October 2026

  • An FAQ, a blog and a contact form on the SendBill website.
  • A getting-started checklist on your shop dashboard, plus the odd tip by email to help you get set up. You can unsubscribe from the tips at any time.
  • Refunds you make in Stripe now show on the bill and are taken off your paid totals.

5 October 2026

  • Invite your team. Shop owners can invite people by email from the new Members page. Shop settings stay owner-only.
  • Dashboard totals. Your shop dashboard now shows how much you've sent and been paid. Tap the Drafts, Sent or Paid boxes to jump to those bills.
  • Filter your jobs list by status.
  • Invoice preview, so you can see what your customer will get before you send it.
  • Your shop details now appear on every invoice. Pro shops also keep their logo and brand colour.
  • Add Pro at any time. Owners can add Pro part way through the month and only pay for the rest of that month, or remove it.
  • SendBill now checks your Stripe account is ready to take card payments before you send a bill, so customers never get a link they can't pay.
  • Deleting your account now cancels your shop subscriptions straight away.

4 October 2026

  • Invoice PDFs. Every bill comes with an invoice PDF you can download or send. Pro shops get their logo, brand colour and details on it.
  • New Pro features: automatic reminders for unpaid bills, bills that repeat each month, recording bank transfer or cash payments, client statements, your branding on the pay page, and exporting your bills to CSV.
  • Clearer plan wording on the signup page.
  • Updated terms and privacy policy.

3 October 2026

SendBill launched. From day one you could:

  • Sign up and set up your shop, with its own SendBill web address. Connect your Stripe account so customers can pay you by card, with the money going straight to you.
  • Add your clients and create bills in pounds.
  • Email a bill to a client with a link to pay by card on a page with your shop's name on it. See which bills are drafts, sent or paid, and your customer gets a receipt page once they've paid.
  • Choose Solo or Team for each shop, with an optional Pro add-on, or get in touch about a bigger setup.
